Comal ISD Council of PTAs is making plans for Texas PTA Rally Day 2025 on Monday, Feb. 24, at the capitol in Austin.

Meet the 2024 State 5A Division 1 UIL Championship football team during the Smithson Valley Community Rally at the stadium where it all began 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15.

The Smithson Valley football team brought home the 5A Division 1 State Championship title on December 21. Congratulations Rangers!

Choosing kindness really does pay off, thanks to the generosity of the Mckenna Foundation which surprised three Comal ISD campuses with grant money totaling $17,500 for their 'Choose Kindness' video submissions.

Three Comal ISD marching bands advanced to state contests this fall with Davenport High School earning the bronze medal in the UIL 4A competition, and both Pieper High School and Smithson Valley High School competing in the UIL 5A division.

The Comal Independent School District has hired Dr. Randy D. Davis as its new Chief of Human Resources. He brings 34 years of experience in public education to the role, serving as a teacher, coach and principal. Most recently, he was assistant superintendent of human resources for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD.

The state champion Smithson Valley High School girls cross country team along with state qualifiers from Canyon Lake and Davenport high schools were honored by the Comal ISD Board of Trustees for their outstanding season.

Two Comal ISD students are among the best high school jazz musicians in the state, earning them a spot in the All-State Jazz Band. They will perform during the Texas Music Educators Association convention in February.

The Pieper High School counseling team is a CREST award winner from the Texas School Counseling Association. It's easy to see why it won with the many student-engagement activities it offers including 'Tranquil Tuesdays' and monthly lunch events.

This year's Annual Navy All-American Bowl and San Antonio Sports All-Star football games will be well-represented by Comal ISD athletes and coaches with a dozen players playing in the All-Star game and a few coaches chosen to lead both.
