As the new principal, I am truly honored to be part of this exceptional campus; a campus that values one another, our students, our parents, and our community. Comal ISD is hosting a districtwide Spring Job Fair from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 11, at Canyon High School. All interested applicants are encouraged to attend.

The Comal ISD Board of Trustees approved the naming of the district's newest middle school to be Dr. Jerry S. Major Middle School. A former superintendent of schools for the district, Major is well known in Texas public education where he spent his 35-year career as a teacher, coach and administrator.
More than 100 pieces of student artwork was featured during Comal ISD's spring art show highlighting eight campuses in the Smithson Valley High School feeder pattern. The art-gallery-style show included sketches, watercolor, oil pastels, mixed media, charcoal, printmaking and more.
Pieper High School Dance Coach, Jaqueline Olivares, is forging a new path to success as she collaborates with the Texas Dance Education Association to make Dance a UIL-sanctioned competition sport.
