As the new principal, I am truly honored to be part of this exceptional campus; a campus that values one another, our students, our parents, and our community. Our mission is to provide every child with the highest quality education possible so that each student will graduate with the skills needed to contribute and thrive in this changing world. Comal ISD hosted four events to celebrate National Signing Day on February 5 with 41 student athletes committing to play the sport of their choice at the collegiate level.
Once more, the Comal ISD theatre program is named as one of the best in the state earning the 2024-2025 Texas Thespians Premier Communities for Theatre Education Award.
Comal ISD has been named a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas. Only 38 districts in the state received this distinction for their commitment to student success.
Approximately 100 pieces of art were featured in Comal ISD's second district art show of the school year featuring original work by elementary, middle and high school artists. Three pieces were awarded the Superintendent's Excellence Award of Art.
This year's Comal Shake Champion is proof that you should never give up on a dream. She is a three-time finalist in the competition that encourages conversation and nurtures confidence. This is the second year in a row that a student from Goodwin Frazier has won the title.
The tables were turned during the Comal ISD Board of Trustees meeting on January 23 when the trustees become the honorees for School Board Appreciation Month. The seven trustees were treated to special performances and gifts.
The Comal Independent School District has hired a Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Mark Stahl will begin working for the district in this role on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
A Smithson Valley graduate found her Path to Success through the Ready, Set, Teach program. Now a student teacher at Kinder Ranch Elementary, she is on the cusp of achieving her dream of becoming a teacher.
