Davenport Wolves Finish 5th in State Cross Country

November 10, 2023 - The Davenport High School girls cross country team finished the season in 5th place in the State UIL 4A competition on November 3 in Round Rock, and Canyon Lake High School senior Cadence Patterson finished in 6th in the individual event.

This marks the third year in a row for Patterson to advance to the state cross country meet. She was joined by CLHS teammates Eva Zabarcencu and Tristan Schenk.

The DHS girls team includes two All-State Team members, Maddie Reagan and Kendall Fallon. Other team members are Olivia Bounds, Macie Fallon, Alexa Glebus, Julianna Gonzalez and Caitlyn Long. In addition, Eli Bliss advanced to the state meet for the second year in a row.

Comal ISD was represented at the State 5A UIL cross country meet as well with 10 athletes advancing to the competition from Canyon High School and Smithson Valley High School.

Members of the state qualifying CHS girls cross country team includes Mollie Allen, Maria Bernal, Scarlett Dusek, Aubrey Ellebracht, Ally Hennessee, Madi Molinar, Allison Schoch, Yazmin Torres and Aidan Unsworth.

The cross country state qualifier from SVHS is Mia Perez.
