Military Night Offers Valuable Info to Students About Military Options

If your son or daughter is considering a career in the military after high school, they can learn valuable information about military branches, academies, and other programs at Comal ISD’s Annual Military Night on Thursday, April 15, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at four campuses – Canyon High, Davenport High, Smithson Valley High and Canyon Lake High.

During this event, students (grades 9-12) and families can meet with recruiters from each of these programs to learn which program may best meet their needs. They can find out more about a branch or an academy, enlistment commitments, physical and education requirements, college funds and scholarship programs.

The following organizations will be represented at each school:

  • Branches: Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Navy, Army National Guard, Army Reserves
  • Academies: West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, A&M Corps of Cadets, Citadel
  • Other Military Programs: Tarleton State University, UT ROTC, Texas State ROTC, and campus JROTC programs (Air Force - CHS, Navy - SVHS, Army - CLHS and DHS)
