Davenport High School is embarking on year number five!!! As the new principal, I am truly honored to be part of this exceptional campus; a campus that values one another, our students, our parents, and our community. I am committed to ensuring high academic excellence for all students, open communication between campus and families, and continued excellence in all things Davenport.
Our mission is to provide every child with the highest quality education possible so that each student will graduate with the skills needed to contribute and thrive in this changing world. During its annual Reflections ceremony, the Comal ISD Council of PTAs celebrated more than 130 pieces of art ranging from dance choreography, literature and photography to music composition, film production and visual arts.
Twenty-two seniors in Comal ISD's Ready, Set, Teach CTE program received their graduation stoles for completing the courses and hands-on teaching internship that prepares them for careers related to teaching, instruction, and creation of instructional and enrichment materials.
This year, 18 Comal ISD students earned the Texas Theatre Scholar Award Distinction by the Texas Thespians Association. This award demonstrates their accomplishments in both academic and theatrical work.
A sophomore from Pieper High School was selected for a prestigious leadership program after competing against students from around the world. She's excited to share her experience and put her new skills into action.
Twenty-two Comal ISD students involved in DECA and HOSA qualified for state-level competitions, showcasing their skills in marketing, finance, hospitality, CPR and phlebotomy.
Once more, a Smithson Valley High School wrestler won a state wrestling title bringing home the gold in a sport that continues to gain popularity throughout Comal ISD which has four strong high school programs.
